Are Amazon return pallets worth it?
They can be — but plenty of Amazon return pallets, especially those resold off-platform, are unmanifested (the official B-Stock channel usually manifests its lots). On an unmanifested lot you're buying a category and a condition grade, not a known list of items, and some units in a typical returns lot won't be sellable. The math has to work even with a chunk of the lot written off. Add up the real landed cost — bid, buyer's premium, and freight — and weigh it against what you can realistically resell before you bid.
Unmanifested cuts both ways: it's why returns pallets can be cheap, and why buyers who do well with them tend to know their category cold, test and sort quickly, and bid at prices that survive a bad box. If a rough lot would sink you, start with manifested inventory instead — you give up some upside for a list you can actually price.
Freight is the quiet deal-breaker on heavy mixed lots — moving a pallet across the country can rival the winning bid itself. BStalker's free pallet profit calculator works entirely from your own numbers (bid, fees, freight, unit count) to show a comparable cost-per-unit and break-even resale price, with no outcome projections attached.
