Liquidation appliances, priced by the archive

Refrigerators, washers, dryers and countertop machines are a fixture of liquidation listings, and the niche where the condition language moves the numbers most. This page prices the niche from BStalker’s own auction record: the median closing bid, the live supply, and the brand cohorts, each with its denominator. These are our tracked numbers, not an industry estimate, and a closing bid is not a confirmed sale price.

01What an appliance lot is

Appliances reach liquidation in two shapes. Major appliances, refrigerators, washers, dryers, ranges and dishwashers, move as scratch-and-dent pallets and laundry-suite truckloads out of big-box returns and open-box programs. Small appliances arrive as mixed parcel pallets: microwaves, air conditioners, humidifiers and countertop machines. On the B-Stock network, retailer storefronts auction appliance return streams by the pallet and the truckload, Liquidation.com lists appliance lots from single units to full loads, and the fixed-price catalog sources carry appliances at a set price rather than auctioned.

Condition language is unusually specific in this niche, and worth reading literally: a lot graded scratch and dent and one graded returns can sit at the same per-unit price and be different buys, because one describes cosmetic damage on a working unit and the other may not power on at all. The condition pages price each grade from the archive, and the manifest is where you confirm what a specific lot holds. This page covers the niche across the nine marketplaces BStalker tracks; it is not every source of liquidation appliances, and no feed is. Local auctions and direct liquidators move appliances that never touch a tracked marketplace.

02The numbers, from the archive

Of the auctions BStalker has tracked to close, appliance lots close at a median of $400 across 10,687 priced closings, and 708 appliance lots are live across the sources we track.

How we measureMedian = the middle value across priced closed auctions whose title matched the Appliances category, the same match the live feed uses, published only past a minimum sample of priced closings. $/unit = the lot's total cost divided by the unit count the source publishes, where the source lists one. Brand cohorts are the same medians computed over each brand’s archived closings between the dates on its row. The category figures were computed on 2026-10-13 UTC and are kept current. A closing bid is the highest bid published before the gavel: a strong signal, not a confirmed sale price. Freight moves the appliance number more than the bid does on bulky majors; the measured record is what 23,105 real pallet freight quotes show.

03What the data cannot tell you

  • Whether each unit powers on. The archive records the condition grade the seller published, not a bench test, and piece counts are low in this niche: one non-working refrigerator moves the per-unit math further than one dead unit in a thousand-piece apparel lot. The manifest and the photos are where you confirm what powers.
  • A confirmed sale price. A closing bid is where bidding stopped. A reserve can hold the lot back and a winner can fail to pay; neither shows in the record.
  • Your freight. Major appliances are the heaviest freight in the archive: many lots are buyer-arranged LTL from a retailer warehouse, and your lane sets the price. The freight record we do hold is in what pallet shipping costs.

04How buying works

Every lot links out to the source marketplace, where you bid or buy signed in to your own account there. The number to plan around is not the bid; it is the landed cost: the current bid, plus the buyer’s premium (a percentage that varies by marketplace and sometimes by listing), plus freight. A reserve price can mean the leading bid still does not win.

The free pallet calculator does that arithmetic on your own numbers. Or hand your budget, freight and premium figures to the ChatGPT connector: it returns the bid ceiling your numbers support. Your arithmetic, not a recommendation.
