LTL freight cost estimator

What does it cost to ship a liquidation pallet? The honest answer is a distribution, and BStalker owns a big one: 23,105real freight quotes returned by B-Stock’s checkout engine between 29 April 2026 and 25 August 2026. The median LTL quote across the archive is $1,047; the median full truckload is $5,751.

Pick a shipment type, a freight class, and roughly how far the warehouse is from the delivery, and read the median and the middle half of the real quotes that match. It is a historical range with its denominator attached, never a made-up point price.

Estimate from real quotes

Three picks, no typing. The answer always names the population it came from and how many quotes are behind it.

Median quote$1,047half of the quotes came in below this
Middle half$738 to $1,638the middle 50% of quotes, 25th to 75th percentile
Quotes behind this16,107real buyer-side totals, markup and fees included

Read from 16,107 quotes across the whole archive, collected 29 April 2026 to 25 August 2026 and measured 13 October 2026.

Historical quotes, not a quote for your shipment. Every figure already includes destination liftgate and residential delivery. Weight and pallet count are not in the archive, so real quotes inside one cell still span the range shown.

How the estimate is built

No rate formula and no fitted curve: the tool reads percentiles straight off the archived quotes. For your picks it takes the matching cell of the table, the 25th percentile, the median, and the 75th percentile of the buyer-side totals in it.

A cell only ships when at least 30 quotes sit in it. Where a class-and-distance pairing is thinner than that, the tool widens to the class across all distances and says so in the answer line. It never averages two cells together and never invents the missing one.

The full anatomy of a quote, what the carrier charges, what the fuel surcharge does, and where the platform markup lands, is in the data study what 23,105 real freight quotes show, computed from the same archive.

What every figure already includes

  • Liftgate and residential delivery. Every archived quote is a residential delivery with a liftgate truck, so both fees are inside every figure: a median of $100.00 combined across the LTL archive, most commonly $50.00 plus $50.00. A dock-high commercial delivery would price lower.
  • Fuel. The carrier’s fuel surcharge is inside the total where the lane charges one. It is not universal: 2,286 of the 16,107 LTL quotes carry no fuel surcharge at all, on seller-negotiated flat-rate lanes.
  • The platform markup. These are buyer-side totals: the carrier’s price plus B-Stock’s percentage on top, which varies by lane and seller account. What you would have paid at checkout is what is measured.

What this estimator cannot account for

Every quote in the archive is a delivery to one saved address: a residential, liftgate delivery in the Boise, Idaho metro. The distance bands are real lane miles, but the archive has no destination variety to learn from, so treat the bands as the shape of freight pricing, not a rate for your exact lane.

Weight and pallet count are never exposed by the source, and they move the price as much as distance does. That is why one cell still spans a wide middle half, and why the tool shows the range instead of picking a number. The quotes also come from one April-to-August window in 2026: fuel tiers drift with diesel prices, and seasonal carrier capacity is not visible here.

Finally, accessorials beyond liftgate and residential, such as appointment fees, limited access sites, or inside delivery, are not in these figures. Before you bid, get the real quote with your lot’s specs; the pallet shipping costs guide walks the four-step method, and the pallet profit calculator folds the freight line into your landed cost per unit once you have it.

FAQ

Is the freight estimator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you pick is saved or sent anywhere.

Where do the figures come from?

From BStalker’s own archive: 23,105 real freight quotes that B-Stock’s checkout engine returned between 29 April and 25 August 2026, re-measured 13 October 2026. Every figure is a buyer-side total with the carrier cost, accessorials, fuel and platform markup already inside, and every range carries the number of quotes behind it.

Why a range and not one price?

Because the archive cannot see your shipment’s weight or pallet count, and those move the price as much as distance does. The median and the middle half of real quotes on comparable shipments is the honest summary; a single number would be precision the data does not have.

What freight class is a liquidation pallet?

The carrier assigns it from density and handling: dense, stackable freight earns a lower class and a lower rate than light, bulky or awkward freight. Mixed-return pallets commonly land in the middle classes. The pallet shipping costs guide on this site explains the classes in depth, and leaving the picker on any class shows the whole archive at your distance.

Is liftgate or residential delivery included?

Yes, and that matters for comparison. Every quote in the archive is a residential delivery with liftgate service, so those fees are already inside every figure shown: a median of $100.00 combined across the LTL archive. A commercial quote with a dock or forklift would price lower.
