Directory FAQ

What is the best liquidation site for beginners?

For a first purchase, 888 Lots and Via Trading are the safest starts: both charge no buyer premium, offer item-level manifests or in-person inspection, and have no minimum order, so you can buy a single test lot before committing to a pallet. 888 Lots ships from a New Jersey warehouse; Via Trading operates a Los Angeles warehouse you can visit in person.

Do you need a resale certificate to buy liquidation pallets?

Yes — nearly every wholesale liquidation source requires a valid state resale certificate to register a buyer account, and as of 2026 a federal EIN alone is generally no longer accepted as a standalone credential on the major platforms. Public government-surplus auctions like GovDeals are the exception. Each source page lists its exact requirement.

Is BULQ still open in 2026?

No. BULQ permanently shut down on July 28, 2025 when parent company Optoro wound down the marketplace. Use 888 Lots, Via Trading, Direct Liquidation, or B-Stock instead — the BULQ page in this directory covers the dated, cited closure and the best alternatives.

How many liquidation sources does this directory cover?

BStalker reviews 31 US liquidation sources — 18 B-Stock retailer storefronts and 13 platform & marketplace reviews (the B-Stock network itself plus the independent platforms) — each with its pricing model, buyer premium, manifest status, and a cited verification date. Nine of these marketplaces are aggregated into the BStalker live feed.

Is BStalker free to use?

There is a permanent free account and it needs no card: your own feed, shown as a capped live preview scoped to your saved picks, plus 1 saved search with email alerts (Scout raises that to 3, Pro removes the cap). Every new account can also start a 14-day full-access trial of the whole product, again with no card. After that, paid plans are founding-priced — Scout ($29/mo) and Pro ($59/mo) — and unlock the uncapped live feed, per-item seller manifests, and direct bid links. BStalker never takes bids or payments; every lot links out to its source marketplace.

Nine of these marketplaces, one live feed

BStalker aggregates live pallet and truckload auctions from nine of the platforms reviewed here — B-Stock, Liquidation.com, GovDeals, DirectLiquidation, 888 Lots, BlueLots, QuickBidz, Musick, and Via Trading — into one feed with comparable cost-per-unit ((bid + freight) ÷ units) and saved-search email alerts. You browse and get alerted in BStalker, then click through to bid on the source marketplace. BStalker never takes bids or payments.

A free account is permanent and needs no card — a capped live preview of the feed scoped to your picks — and every new account can start a 14-day full-access trial of the whole product, also with no card. Paid plans are founding-priced: Scout $29/mo and Pro $59/mo.
